Adam Chwieśko MD PhD is a consultant gastroenterologist and internal medicine specialist whose clinical work focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical Academy in Białystok in 2001. Over twelve years he worked at the Department of Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine of the University Clinical Hospital in Białystok, where he was awarded his doctorate in medical sciences and completed his specialist training in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

In 2019 he completed training under the auspices of the Foundation for Research and Education in Esophageal and Foregut Disease, led by Professor Castell and Professor Tom DeMeester.

In 2025 he undertook a clinical fellowship at the Digestive Disease Center of SHOWA Medical University Northern Yokohama Hospital in Japan, working on endocytoscopy, chromoendoscopy, submucosal dissection and decision support systems. He then spent a month at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, in the Department of Gastroenterology led by Dr John Pandolfino.

He continues to publish in international journals and takes part in medical symposia. He approaches his work with patients with commitment and energy.

He was among the first doctors in Poland to complete training in oesophageal manometry and pH monitoring with intraluminal impedance.
