Vasectomy is a highly effective method of contraception used around the world. It involves cutting and tying the vas deferens. This does not affect sperm production but prevents sperm from leaving the body, so fertilisation cannot occur. The sperm are naturally absorbed by the body with no consequences for your health. Vasectomy does not affect semen, its volume and appearance remain unchanged.

The skin is not cut but gently separated, without a scalpel. The procedure is short and minimally invasive, performed under local anaesthesia by an experienced urologist, so you usually feel only a few seconds of discomfort.

We use sterile single-use instruments, which reduces the risk of infection. Following the aftercare instructions affects healing. After the procedure you will remain under the observation of our medical staff for an hour.

The procedure is performed by Tomasz Gołąbek MD PhD, a consultant urologist with extensive clinical experience. He trained and worked for many years at leading centres in the United States and Europe: Harvard Medical School and Boston University in the USA, and Cork University Hospital and Mercy University Hospital in Ireland. He was an assistant professor at the Department of Urology, Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków.

Recipient of numerous international awards and distinctions, and a scholar of The European Urological Scholarship Programme (EUSP), the American Austrian Foundation and the Open Medical Institute.

He actively develops his theoretical and practical knowledge and is involved in research and clinical trials. He is the author of two books, 6 textbook chapters and more than 60 papers in international journals, and above all a doctor who works with dedication and a personal approach to every patient.
